Bali Sports Foundation Asia, in collaboration with the Indonesian Rugby Federation, is proud to host the International Wheelchair Rugby Asian Regional Tournament in Bali from 23–30 March 2026.
This exciting event will bring together some of the region’s emerging wheelchair rugby nations for a week of elite competition, international connection, and sporting inspiration. The tournament serves as the final qualifying pathway toward the Asian Para Games in Nagoya, Japan, in October 2026.
With Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Malaysia already qualified, the remaining places will be contested in Bali by five determined nations:
Indonesia, China, Singapore, Timor-Leste, and India.
For these teams, the tournament is about far more than results alone. It is a chance to represent their countries on the international stage, continue building the sport across Asia, and compete for an opportunity to take the next step toward one of the region’s biggest para-sport events.
Hosting this tournament in Bali reflects a shared commitment to developing wheelchair rugby in Asia and creating more opportunities for athletes with disabilities to perform, grow, and inspire. Bali Sports Foundation Asia has long been dedicated to inclusive sport development, and this event is another major milestone in that journey.
Over the course of the week, athletes, coaches, supporters, and local communities will come together to celebrate courage, resilience, and the fast-paced intensity of wheelchair rugby.
Bali is ready. Asia is coming. And the road to Nagoya continues here.
